Hi, Everyone:

This Sunday, June 3rd, is the 2nd Sunday after Pentecost and Nacho Name Tag Sunday. It’s also shop-the-last-remnants-of-the-Yard-Sale Sunday!  And please stay to help box up everything that didn’t sell so we can use the room again.  Many hands make light work!

Yes, Tomorrow (Saturday, June 2nd) is the annual Yard Sale from 8 am to 2 pm.  Today is the last day to bring your former treasures to donate, day or evening.  I’m sure we could also use help with last-minute sorting and pricing (for those of us who procrastinated until today to bring stuff).  There will also be plenty of opportunities to help out the day of the sale – cashiering, assisting customers, and generally tidying up and helping out (and shopping!).  It looks like we could especially use help early, since no one has officially signed up for the 7:30 am shifts.  Let’s all help to make this a fun, successful event.  Tell everyone you know!  As always, pester Erik Holland with questions:  (510) 793-5407 or erholland@fidelityinsuranceservice.com.

Tonight (Friday) is Game Night, although it may turn into a last-minute Yard Sale set-up and shopping session (maybe we’ll find a new game!).  We meet at about 6:30 in the Activity Room for food and fun.  Join us!

All are invited to the Daytimers’ Annual Barbecue on Tuesday, June 5th. This marks the end of Tuesday Bible Study for the Summer, but the Daytimers usually soldier on with their monthly feasts.  Devotions begin at 10:30, followed by a sumptuous meal. Don’t miss it!

Sunday, June 17th, is Father’s Day, and we will be celebrating with a Father’s Day Lunch at about 11:15 am after the service.  The choir will also be performing their Sermon-in-Song that Sunday – food and entertainment!  (not that Pastor Tim isn’t entertaining…)

As always, check out the Media Table for sign-ups, forms, and things to read.  We have new issues of “The Word in Season” and “Christ in Our Home” available in both pocket and large print editions.

See you in church!

Keith
