Hi, Everyone:

This Sunday, June 17th, is the 4th Sunday after Pentecost and Fill the Food Barrel Sunday. So much is happening this Sunday, and all for one low, low price! (whatever you throw in the offering plate)  First of all, it’s Father’s Day.  And what would an observance day be at Holy Trinity without food;  hence, the Father’s Day Lunch after the service.  But wait – you also get a show!  The Choir’s end-of-the-choir-season Sermon in Song replaces Pastor Tim’s homily.  It’s also Bethany Stevenin’s last week with us, so I let her pick the songs (blame her).  She also picked the Praise Band songs and is doing the Children’s Sermon (It’s all about you, isn’t it, Bethany?).  But wait – there’s more!  You also get the Installation of Council Members (finally – haven’t they been our Church Council since, like, February?).  Now how much would you pay?

This is the last Sunday to order your “God’s Work, Our Hands” and “Helping Hands” t-shirts.  Sign-ups are on the Media Table and Cheryl Hall is collecting the moolah. They’ll be the height of fashion this fall, so don’t miss out!

Your Parish Life Coordinator (aka Church Secretary [me]) will be taking a few weeks off, so office hours will be limited to whenever Pastor Tim is here, and he’s a busy guy (except for this Sunday, apparently).  So be sure to call to make sure someone’s there before coming over.  This also means no email blasts for the next few weeks (stop cheering!), so you’ll have to actually listen to the announcements in church instead of sneaking out early to get the last of the donuts.

Since I’ll be gone, I’ll remind you now that Family Movie Night is scheduled for Friday, June 22nd at 7 pm, and there will be no Game Night on Friday, July 6th (unless someone wants to step up and host it in lieu of Richard and I).

Vacation Bible School is creeping up on us:  July 9 – 13, 6 pm to 8:30 pm.  This year’s theme is “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus.”  I’m sure Terri MacFarlane could use lots of help, so contact her (tam1960@aol.com) to volunteer your copious talents.  She could also use nautical/island/castaway-themed items for decorations.  Flyers and Registration Forms are available on the Media Table.  You can also download the Registration Form at www.holytrinityfremont.org.

Just a reminder that Richard Anderson’s Memorial is tomorrow (Saturday the 16th) at 11:30 am, followed by a reception in Holland Hall.  Help us celebrate the life of this wonderful man.

See you in church! (at least this Sunday)

Keith
