This Week at Holy Trinity, April 28, 2017

Hi, Everyone:

This Sunday, April 30th, is the 3rd Sunday of Easter.  It is also the 5th Sunday of the month, which is usually Stewardship Sunday. However, it has been postponed until next Sunday. This means no “Faith Stories” from regular HTLC members this Sunday, so Pastor Tim will have to preach instead. (Not to say Pastor Tim is irregular, but if the chasuble fits…)  There will be a brief Yard Sale Meeting following the second service to get things rolling for that event which occurs on June 3rd, so please attend if you’re interested in helping out.  Hard on the heels of that meeting will be our first RIC Informational Cottage Meeting at 12:15 pm.  Find out what the Reconciling In Christ process is all about, how we can become more welcoming to the LGBTQ community, and the Biblical underpinnings for extending such a welcome.  If you can’t make this meeting, there are repeat meetings scheduled for June 4th and June 25th for which you can sign up at the Media Table.

Movie Night is tonight (Friday, the 28th), at 6:30 pm in the Activity Room with all of the usual food and conviviality.  The movie will be “Rogue One: a Star Wars Story.”  Come as your favorite Star Wars character and be laughed at by everyone else!

R&R Circle will be meeting this Wednesday, May 3rd at 10 am in the Activity Room.  Come as your favorite R-named Biblical woman character and see if anyone notices!

Next Sunday will be the Last Day of Sunday School.  Thanks to all the teachers, musicians, helpers, parents, and students who make this program a success week after week (but not the week after next).

The following Sunday (May 14th) there will be a Mother’s Day Brunch between services at about 10 am.  Be sure to clean up your plate, and no dessert until you eat your vegetables.

The Sunday after that (May 21st) begins our Single Service Summer Schedule.  The single 10 am service will be followed by the all-important Annual Congregational Meeting.  Come and find out what’s happening, have your voice heard, and vote.  Or just come and eat so we can have your name on the attendance list (also important).

See you in church!
