This Week at Holy Trinity, February 17, 2017

Hi, Everyone:

This Sunday, February 19th, is the 7th Sunday after Epiphany, and Fill the Food Barrel Sunday.  There is a Spaghetti Feed Meeting after the second service at 12:15pm.  All are welcome to come and help plan.  It’s only a few weeks away, so please start getting together those gift baskets and gift cards (hopefully scrip cards) for the raffle, pestering local businesses for silent auction donations, and finding creative new places to post flyers.  Let’s make this the best Spaghetti feed ever – get involved, invite all your friends, and snap up those tickets!

Everyone is invited to the monthly Daytimers’ Luncheon this Tuesday at 11:30am in the Activity Room following Bible Study at 10am.  The theme this time is (wait for it…)  no theme!  Will it be a wildly diverse selection of dishes or a dozen potato salads?  Come and find out!

Next Friday (the 24th, not tonight) will be Movie Night.  I’ll remind you again in a week.  It’s another opportunity to eat!

Cheryl Cox-Hall is still looking for a room to rent as soon as possible.  If you or someone you know has a room available, please let her know at (408) 206-4843 or

Mark your calendars (if anyone thinks that far ahead) for a Thrivent Event on Sunday, April 23rd at 12:15pm in Holland Hall.  Ray and Dave Carlisle, Thrivent Associates, will present “Your Journey: Retirement, Taxes and Generosity.” A light lunch will be served. Please call Teresa Wible at 925-400-4006 x1 or email to reserve a place for yourself and a guest.  You can also register at

Financial Update:  January Expenses:  $18,069.75,  January Giving:  $15,454.21 (Must be after-Christmas doldrums).
