This Sunday, January 8th, is the first Sunday after Epiphany and Scrip Sunday. We are back to the regular schedule of 8:45am and 11am worship services, with Sunday School, Parenting Forum, and Adult Forum in-between. We will be celebrating Epiphany this Sunday by talking about the Wise Men and the star and lighting candles to symbolize carrying God’s light into the world. Don’t miss it! There is also a Council Meeting at 12:15pm. Don’t miss it!
Tonight (Friday the 6th) is Epiphany and Game Night at 6:30pm in the Activity Room. We will be celebrating Epiphany by playing games, chatting, and eating ourselves silly (which has nothing to do with Epiphany, but is fun nonetheless). Come join us!
If you’ve been wondering (as I have) where your Reformation 500 Bookstore books are, I have some disappointing news: Due to a miscommunication about cut-off dates (there weren’t any in the literature, but they claimed to have sent out an email later – which we apparently didn’t get), the book orders have been cancelled. The next sale should be in the spring. Sorry for the inconvenience (even though it really wasn’t our fault).
That’s all I have for now. Happy Epiphany!
See you in church!
