This Week at Holy Trinity, March 17, 2017

Hi, Everyone, I’m back!  Miss me?

This Sunday, March 19th, is the third Sunday of Lent. It’s also Fill the Food Barrel Sunday.  There will be a Strategic Planning Committee Meeting at 12:15pm, if you are strategically inclined.

It’s finally here!  The Spaghetti Feed is tomorrow night!  I’m at the church today until at least 2pm if you want to buy tickets, drop off a raffle basket, or pick up flyers to distribute (they won’t do us much good after tomorrow).  I’m sure there will be an abbondanza of opportunities (as Mama Celeste would say) to help out before, during, and after the 4 – 8pm time that we’re open on Saturday.  Or just come and have a great time eating, winning prizes, and helping support HTLC and the George Mark Children’s House.

If you were hoping the Spaghetti Feed would hold you until the next church food event, I have some sad news.  The Daytimer’s Luncheon has been postponed until the following Tuesday, March 28th at 11:30am.  The next opportunity for church food will be next Friday, the 24th, when Movie Night occurs at 6:30pm, if you can last until then.

Midweek Lenten Services continue on Wednesdays through April 5th.  These are short half-hour meditative services featuring monologues from Bible characters on Jesus’ last words.  Come for the quietude, stay for the Choir and Praise Band rehearsals!

A week from this Sunday there will be a Nominating Committee Meeting at 10:15am in the church entryway.  Be sure not to catch their eyes if you don’t want to be on council.

Learn life-saving skills right here at HTLC!  (and you thought we only saved souls)  We will be having a CPR/AED class in Holland Hall from 10am to 4pm on April 22nd. The class is open to all. See Kate Shonk for details.

The annual Palm Sunday weekend Church Clean-Up Day will start at 9am on Saturday, April 8th.  There will be things to do for people of all ages and abilities.  Wear your dungarees and be ready to make our campus all spiffy for Holy Week.

See you in church!
