This Week at Holy Trinity, November 10, 2017

Hi, Everyone:

This Sunday, November 12th, is the 23rd Sunday after Pentecost and Scrip Sunday.  Pastor Tim is out of town, so thank you to John Williams and Carmen Blair for stepping up to the plate (I mean altar).  The regularly scheduled Council Meeting has been cancelled.

Next Sunday there will be a single Thankoffering service at 10:00 am followed by a Thanksgiving Potluck.  If you accidentally come at 8:45, you’ll get to help make coffee (just like last week when you forgot to turn back your clock – boy, are you forgetful!).  If you come at 11, well, at least you’ll get to eat!  Sign-ups for bringing food are on the Media Table, so we don’t end up with ten green bean casseroles made with Campbell’s® Cream of Mushroom Soup and French’s® French Fried Onions (just like the pilgrims ate!).

The Daytimers’ Luncheon – annual Thanksgiving edition – will be this Tuesday the 14th (instead of the usual third Tuesday) at 11:30 am.  All are invited, so you can work in three Thanksgiving meals this year!  Pastor Cork – everybody’s favorite former HTLC pastor of Estonian descent – will be filling in for Pastor Tim at the 10 am Bible Study.  So come by, say “Hi,” eat pie!

Don’t forget to Adopt an Angel by taking an ornament tag (or two or three) off the Giving Tree in the narthex.  Buy the gifts and put them under the tree (unwrapped) by Sunday, December 3rd, so that foster kids in the area can have a merrier Christmas.

See you in church!
