First, I’d like to thank all who stepped up to the paten for Worship Helpers. Most positions have been filled, but we still need Acolytes for 11 am this Sunday and for both services on May 5th. I’m sure Pastor Tim would do it, but we don’t let him play with fire anymore.
This Sunday, April 28th, is the 2nd Sunday of Easter and Luther Loose Change Sunday. Loose change is going toward a new Audio-Video system and electrical upgrade, so remember: “As soon as a coin in the coffer rings, another outlet from the wall springs.” Also, this is the Sunday the animals are visiting Sunday School from the Sloppy Seconds shelter. The children will be using paper towel tubes, toilet paper tubes, and boxes to create environment enhancements for the animals, so if you got ‘em, bring ‘em! (That applies to both the supplies and the kids.)
It’s just a couple of weeks until Mother’s Day, and we will be celebrating all motherly types with a Mother’s Day Brunch at 10 am on May 12th. Invite mom now and make her think she taught you to think ahead.
Stewardship Spotlight: The Stewardship Spotlight would like to recognize one of the younger contributors at HTLC and shine on Nathan Lanzarotta. This young man is very active at the church as he acolytes, participates in the Christmas pageant, helps decorate the Christmas tree, and is active in all activities by the youth and Helping Hands. Away from the church Nathan shared wise words on his Stewardship form about other ways to give back: “Help out when you can and help my family.” Well said Nathan!
You can still sign up at the Media Table for the HTLC Day at the Ballpark, and there’s a Church Council Meeting next week after second service on May 5th.
I guess that’s all for today. I’m letting you off easy this time.
See you in church! Keith
