Hi, Everyone:

First, the sad news:  Holy Trinity member Merle Santos passed away of a heart attack Sunday, December 2nd.  Her memorial service will be on Tuesday, December 11th at 10 am at Mission Chapel, Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward CA 94544.  There will be a reception afterward at 12 noon in Holland Hall at Holy Trinity.  Public visitation hours are from 5:30 pm to 9 pm Monday evening at Mission Chapel.

This Sunday, December 9th, is the 2nd Sunday of Advent.  The Sunday School will be presenting their Christmas Pageant at 10 am between the services.  The kids (and adults) have been working very hard, so be sure to come and see what new spin they’ll put on the Christmas story this year.  It’s bound to be entertaining!  The final Christmas Pageant Rehearsal is tomorrow (Saturday the 8th) from 1 pm to 3 pm.

For those of you who have signed up, don’t forget that the Angel Tea is also tomorrow (Saturday the 8th) at noon at Laurel Beebe’s place (35839 Hibiscus Ct., Fremont, CA 94536).  Stuff your face (in a dignified way) while stuffing Santa’s bag for foster kids!  Questions?  Contact Cheryl Kuhlmann at 510-502-0890.

All are invited the annual Daytimers’ Christmas Party on Wednesday, December 12th at 10:30 am at Lucille and Leon Klovdahl’s house (7874 Hazelnut Drive Newark, CA 94560).  The table is always beautifully set, the food delicious, the carol singing raucous, and the jokes terrible (I mean terribly funny!).  Please let them know if you plan to attend.

Other events to look forward to in December:  Bryan’s Brunch between the services on the 16th, the Choir Sermon in Song on the 23rd, Christmas Eve Services at 5 pm and 9 pm on the 24th with the usual Inter-Service Nosh at Randy & Vicky’s, and a single 10 am Carol Service on the 30th.  More on these events in future emails.

Events that you can’t look forward to because they aren’t going to happen:  Adult Forum, Sunday School, Tuesday Bible Study, Game Night, and Movie Night are all cancelled for the rest of December.  Adult Forum and Sunday School will start up again on January 6th, and Tuesday Bible Study returns on January 8th.

See you in church!
