Hi, Everyone:

First, let me sincerely apologize for getting Margie Cameron’s name wrong on the ballots at the Annual Meeting, and getting our new Ministry in Context (Teaching Parish) Student Libby Denton’s name wrong on everything up to this point.  Getting people’s names wrong is the worst!  (right, Pastor Puff?)  Read on for even more fun syntactical errors:

This Sunday, February 17th, is the 6th Sunday of Epiphany and Fill the Food Barrel Sunday.  There will be a Spaghetti Feed Meeting at 12:15 pm for all who are interested in helping to make this annual fundraiser into what cannoli be described as a rousing successo!

All are invited to the Daytimers’ Luncheon at 11:30 am this Tuesday, February 19th in the Activity Room. This month’s theme is sandwiches and salads plus, of course, scintillating conversation!

Thanks to all who participated in the Annual Meeting.  Congratulations to our newly elected council members:

  • Margie Cameron (1st term)
  • Erik Holland (2nd term)
  • Arnold Kuhlmann (1st term)
  • Shawn Lullo (2nd term)
  • Marta Wicke (2nd term)
  • John Williams (1st term)

They join our continuing council members:

  • Anthony Di Paola
  • Andy DiCero
  • Cheryl Hall (Recording Secretary)
  • Tammy Kuhlmann (Financial Secretary)
  • Terri Macfarlane (Treasurer)
  • Kathy Miedema
  • Dean Sieglaff

Thank you all for your willingness to serve. The positions of President, Vice President, and committee liaisons will be decided at the next council meeting. Finally, thank you to our outgoing council members for their years of service:

  • David Barron
  • Kate Mills

Next Sunday is WELCA’s Bold Women’s Day.  Which bold women of faith will our own bold women be talking about?  I don’t know about you, but the suspense is killing me!  There will also be a Stewardship Meeting after second service (not quite so suspenseful).

By the way, one of our members received a robo-call pretending to be from Holy Trinity (even displaying our name and number).  We hope this is an isolated incident, but be careful not to respond to these calls.  We are not cancelling your account (whatever account that could be).

I know you’re probably sycamore announcements about our Stewardship 2019 drive and are board with more in the same vein (and maybe wish I would leaf you alone – I don’t know if you’ll arbor me ill willow knot).  However, our Giving Tree is getting more poplar (though I’m rooting for more leaves to appear!).  Wooden yew like to help?  Just (chloro)phyll out a form listing the various minis-trees you’re involved in or would like to be involved in at HTLC and in the community.  And don’t just stick to what you usually do, branch out fir more involvement!  (that’s about all of the puns I can think of.  My mind’s a plank, I’m completely stumped, I’ve reached my limb-it!)
