This Sunday, June 10th, is the 3rd Sunday after Pentecost. There is a Council Meeting at 11:15 am (if you are seeking counciling). Scrip Sunday isn’t happening this month, but you could take this opportunity to sign up for your own ShopWithScrip® account at www.ShopWithScrip.com. Be sure to use HTLC’s enrollment code, B768EC1D14576 (so memorable!), so that Holy Trinity gets a cut of each gift card you purchase. More details are in this Sunday’s insert (viewable online at www.holytrinityfremont.org). This Sunday will also be the last day to turn in information about your graduates so they can be recognized in the insert on the 17th. Just fill out the green forms from the Media Table and put them in my Parish Life Coordinator box (and no, if you put them in my Choir Director box, the choir will NOT sing out their names during the Sermon-in-Song!).
And speaking of the Sermon-in-Song, it’s coming up on Sunday, June 17th, which is also Father’s Day. We’ll be having a Father’s Day Lunch at about 11:15 am after the service to celebrate all you fatherly-types.
We’re still taking Hymn Requests for the upcoming favorite hymn Sundays. The pink Hymn Request forms are available on the Media Table. Just write down your favorite hymns or Praise Band songs on the form (Just one or two, please – don’t be a hymn-hog!) and place it in Carmen’s box. Be sure to put your name on the form – we won’t use it without knowing who to blame.
Vacation Bible School is only a month away: July 9 – 13, 6 pm to 8:30 pm. This year’s theme is “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus.” Registration forms and flyers are available on the Media Table. See Terri MacFarlane for details or to offer your help. VBS is also the Cause of the Month, if you would like to help defray the cost of this free and fabulous outreach.
Thanks to all who made last Saturday’s Yard Sale such a rousing success! The money is still coming in. If you ran up a tab, please be sure you pay Terri, or my curly-haired Yard Sale imp-in-a-basket will come and get you! (Come by the office to see it – it’s really creepy!)
See you in church!
