Hi, Everyone:

This Sunday, May 27th, is Holy Trinity Sunday, when we celebrate the mystery of the Three-In-One nature of God (visually, it’s just white and gold paraments – quite a come-down from last week’s red, flames, and doves!). It’s also Lutheran Loose Change Sunday.

Tonight, Friday May 25th, is Family Movie Night.  Share some food, grab some popcorn, and watch a fun movie with us at 7 pm in the Activity Room.

Tomorrow (Saturday) after 10 am, you can start bringing all sizes of items to Holland Hall for our Yard Sale, which takes place on Saturday, June 2nd, from 8 am to 2 pm.  We can use all the help we can get for setting up, sorting, and pricing.  Sign-up sheets for helping out during the week (both daytime and evening) are available on the Media Table along with sign-ups for shifts of cahiers and helpers the day of the Yard Sale.  If you are dropping off items for the sale, sooner is definitely better than later – bringing stuff the day of the sale will only get you angry stares.  If you have questions, or need help with large items, please contact Erik Holland at (510) 793-5407 or

The church office will be closed Monday, May 28th for Memorial Day, when we remember those who have given their lives for our freedom (by attending retail sales events, as the TV would have it!).

We have a couple of memorial services coming up for members who have passed away.  Inez Severson’s Memorial will be at Holy Trinity on Monday, June 4th, at 1 pm, with a reception following at BJ’s Restaurant.  Richard Anderson’s Memorial will be at Holy Trinity on Saturday, June 16th, at 11:30 am, with a reception following in Holland Hall.  Please help us celebrate the lives of these two special people.

Be sure to check out the Media Table for all sorts of things to sign up for (Day at the Ballpark), read (ELCA Bishop Statements), and forms to fill out (Graduates & Favorite Hymns).

See you in church!
