Hi, Everyone:

This Sunday, November 4th, is the 24th Sunday after Pentecost, Nacho Name Tag Sunday, and All Saints Sunday!  Remember to set your clocks back an hour the night before, although the worst that could happen if you forget is that you’ll get to church early and have to make coffee before first service or attend Adult Forum before second service (I mean, you’d GET to Attend Adult Forum!).  If you signed up for it, the Thrivent InFaith Event about endowments, estate planning and such will be at 12:15 pm in Holland Hall.  Kathleen will be handing out scripts for the Christmas Play during Sunday School.  If you can’t make it this Sunday, please contact her at for more details or a copy of the script.

Thanks to all who participated in Trunk-or-Treat on Wednesday.  As always, it was tons o’ fun and a great outreach to the community.  Plus we got to see Terri in a duct-taped inflatable flamingo costume!

As usual, November’s Cause of the Month is Adopt an Angel.  The Angel Tree will be up in the narthex full of tags. Each tag tells the gender, age, and gift wish of a foster child. Just take one or more tags, purchase the gifts, and return them unwrapped with the tags attached under the tree by November 25. More details are in the bulletin insert this Sunday.  Also, there will be sign-ups for the annual Angel Tea at the Media Table.  This year it is on December 8th at noon, and the cost is $40 (and well worth it for all the fancy goodies you get to eat!).  The proceeds also go to Christmas gifts for foster children.

On Sunday, November 18th, we will be having a single service at 10 am followed by our annual Thanksgiving Potluck. Please sign up at the Media Table if you are planning to bring something (the dishes don’t have to be Thanksgiving-esque, as I’m sure we’ll all be having plenty of that four days later).

The Council Meeting this month has moved to Sunday, November 18th after the single service and Thanksgiving Potluck (I hope they can still make good decisions during a food coma).

See you in church!
