HTLC News Blast – February 13, 2026
Hello All!
This Sunday is February 15th and we are celebrating two things. Transfiguration and 3 new members! Worship and Livestreaming begin at 9:30 am followed by Sunday School and Youth Group at 10:45 am, and Bell Choir at 11:00 am. Tongan worship begins at 1 pm. This Wednesday, February 16th is our Ash Wednesday Worship Service at 7:00 pm. We also have the opportunity to attend at 3:30 pm Ash Wednesday Worship at Christ the King. Our new members are: Sandi, Corryn, & Ned. Greet them during coffee time! We also remember Don Ehlers, who passed away last Friday. Keep Briita and their friends and family in your prayers.
I had quite a merry dance today with the bulletin and I’m running a little short on time! I’ll get right to the news for this week!
Here’s What Happened!
- Pastor Tim’s Anniversary of Ordination was yesterday! Let him know how much he is appreciated!
- Souper Bowl of Caring – $875.00 Plus – Thank you to all who brought soup, helped out, & contributed to this event! We didn’t feed 5,000, but there was plenty.
Here’s What Coming!
- Congregation Meeting Feb 22! Holy Trinity’s Annual Congregation Meeting will be after the 9:30 am worship service. Hospitality provides snacks! They will be hot dogs, popcorn, and nachos, because, as Terri said, the annual meeting is a circus! If you want to be a voting member, contact Pastor Tim.
- 2 Adult Forums! Our Trellis Committee is calling two Adult Forums on March 8th and April 19th after church at 10:45 am in the Activity Room. The purpose is to dream together about HTLC projects (come with ideas!) and to introduce the formal proposal process of applying for funds. The meetings are being led by the Trellis committee.
- Playground Exploration! If you are interested in being part of a group looking at our playground equipment needs, please see Carmen or Pastor Tim.
- Musical Theater Camp in June! We have two campers already signed up! Check it out! 2 weeks this year!
- Hymnal Fundraiser! Soon we’ll be seeking funds to purchase Hymnals for the pews. More info to come on how you can take part! That way, if we have a hymn sing, or you want to sing alto, or the office can’t get the bulletin out (horrors!), we are good to go!
- HTLC Spring Cleaning – March 28! As is the custom for HTLC, the annual Spring Cleaning will happen on Saturday, March 28th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (the Sunday before Palm Sunday). We will have pizza available around noon. There is a signup sheet in the Narthex so we can get a count of how many folks will show up. It will list the many tasks needed to be done.
- This year’s Midweek Lenten Schedule! Wednesdays at 6:30 pm -Feb 25, Mar 4, 11, 18, 25.
Lastly, there are Copies of the Proposed Budget and Constitution changes on the usher table!
