Hi, Everybody:
The most important thing you need to remember about This Sunday, February 9, is that there is a single 10 am worship service followed by the Annual Congregational Meeting. Not that Scrip Sunday, the 5th Sunday after Epiphany, and Pastor Tim being back aren’t important (PT doesn’t even rate bold letters!), but they won’t screw up your schedule like a single 10 am worship service followed by the Annual Congregational Meeting. There is no Sunday School this Sunday due to the single 10 am worship service followed by the Annual Congregational Meeting. If you don’t come to the Annual Meeting and have your say, you’re not allowed to complain for the rest of the year (I go just for the complaining rights!).
Last Sunday’s Souper Bowl of Caring was fabulous with lots of delicious soup and lots of caring. Thanks to all who participated. In case you forgot or were gone last Sunday (I’m looking at you, PT!), you get a second chance: we are keeping up the table in the narthex for non-perishable food and monetary donations for LOV Newark’s food pantry (or use the Give+ app!) .
Next Sunday, February 16, everything is back to normal. Yaaay!
The Spaghetti Feed is on the horizon (March 14 – other details were in last week’s email [available as a blog under “News & Events” on our website, www.holytrinityfremont.org {or in your spam folder}]). Start getting those prize baskets together!
Sunday, February 23, is Bold Women’s Day. Our own bold woman and parish teaching student, Libby Denton, will be visiting!
Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the season of Lent, is coming up on February 26. We will be having a service at 7 pm which includes the imposition of ashes (that cross-shaped forehead smudge) as a reminder of our mortality.
See you in church for the single 10 am worship service followed by the Annual Congregational Meeting!
