Hi, Everybody!
This Sunday, May 8, is Easter 4, Scrip Sunday, Good Shepherd Sunday, and Mother’s Day! The Worship Service is at 10 am, and our tradition of handing out flowers to the women of the congregation is back, thanks to Cheryl Hall who is donating the funds, and Meg Ehmann who is procuring the flowers. There is no Sunday School this Sunday so that all can attend the Mother’s Day Brunch on the patio after the service. If you didn’t get a chance to sign up yet, please email me TODAY with your number of attendees so that Hospitality can have a reasonably accurate head count (or mouth count) to get ingredients for.
Cheryl Hall (mentioned above) is out of the hospital and is improving. She is undergoing therapy for a few weeks at Diamond Ridge Healthcare Center, 2351 Loveridge Rd., Pittsburg, CA 94565, if you want to drop her a line!
All are invited to a celebration of the life of Ted Jorgenson, long time member of Holy Trinity. It will take place Saturday, May 21, at 11 am here at Holy Trinity, and by livestream at this link: https://youtu.be/9z6DeFv1Yrc
The next Church Council Meeting will be Sunday, May 15, at noon. Contact Marta Wicke if you’d like to attend.
On a personal note, my mother Jeanne Hillesland unexpectedly passed away yesterday at the age of 90. Some of you more “seasoned” members may remember her from the years she attended Holy Trinity and was involved in WELCA Circle. I was fortunate enough to have had a nice phone conversation with her the night before she died. So please, call your mom – often!
Office hours and choir rehearsals will be variable in the next couple of weeks as I may be called upon to travel.
