Happy Fourth of July weekend, Everybody!
This Sunday, July 3, is the 4th Sunday after Pentecost and Nacho Name Tag Sunday. Plus, you’ll hear some special patriotic music! We’ll be having our monthly Zoom Coffee Chat at 9:15 am, and the in-person/livestreaming Worship Service at 10 am. Pastor Tim is feeling better, but is still testing positive for COVID, so Carmen will be providing the Message this Sunday. Thanks, Carmen!
The church office will be closed on Monday for the Fourth of July holiday. Not that I have anything planned, I just want to show my patriotism by being as lazy as possible.
The Spaghetti Feed is looming – only two weeks away! It’s on July 16, from 4pm to 7:30 pm. Food will be served from 4:30 pm to 7:15 pm, and the usual activities (raffles, silent auction, kid’s zone, etc.) will be happening for everyone’s enjoyment. This Sunday there will be flyers for distributing and a sign-up sheet for helpers (and we’ll need an abbondanza of help!). Erik will be on the patio taking reservations, giving out Thrivent shirts, and answering questions (“Erik, what does ‘abbondanza’ mean?” / “I dunno kid, ask Mama Celeste.”). Please consider donating your time, talent, raffle baskets, auction items, gift cards, or any of the above. Remember, it’s not just a fantastically good time, it’s a fundraiser! (“Erik, who’s Mama Celeste?” / “Get away from me kid, ya bother me.”)
The Council Meeting for July will be on the 17th at 11:30 am, which is a week later than usual. Yes, it will be the morning after the Spaghetti Feed, so if you want to attend and speak very loudly, you might get them to audibly wince. Please contact Marta Wicke for Zoom details.
