HTLC/HRLC News Email, June 16, 2023

This Sunday, June 18, is the 3rd Sunday after PentecostFill the Food Barrel Sunday, and Father’s Day.  After the 10 a.m. Worship Service, there will be a Father’s Day Barbecue in honor of Dads (and all nurturers of the Dad ilk).  The kids will be handing out a special gift at Children’s Time (I’m not saying what it is, but let’s hope you so-called “rulers” of the roost “measure” up!).  Happy Father’s Day!

Holy Trinity’s Musical Theater Camp starts on Monday, and the price is now FREE!  So, if you’ve been hesitating due to price, hesitate no longer!  Your kids will have fun, meet new friends, and learn new songs and skills.  The camp takes place Monday through Friday, June 19 through 23, 10 am to 2:30 pm.  The performances of the musical “Oh, Jonah” are on Friday, June 23rd at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 25th at 10:00 a.m. during worship.  For more information, here are links to the flyerparent information, and the registration form.  Hear a fish story that isn’t from your Dad!

The Spaghetti Feed is only one week away!  It’s on Saturday, June 24, from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  There are still a few slots to be filled on the volunteer sign-up sheet at the Media Table (food servers, ticket sales) and all are welcome to help with setting up and cleaning up.  You can also help out by creating and donating a gift basket or handmade item for the raffle & silent auction, bringing a dessert for the dessert table, and telling everyone you know (flyers available on the Media Table).  Or, you can just attend, eat, drink, spend, and have an uproariously good time!  (Divertiti!)

Any last submissions for Favorite Hymns?  The green Favorite Hymn forms are available on the Media Table.  Pick one or two hymns or Praise Band songs, along with any favorite verses you have, and be sure to include your name (I won’t be fooled by “Ann O. Nimmus”).  The forms can go in Carmen’s Worship Committee box or my Parish Life Coordinator box.  We’ll do our very best to use them in July and August (and not to “lose” the ones we personally dislike).
