This is my first Friday Blast! I’m going for informative today and will work on making it more entertaining in the future!
Tonight – No Vacancy SeriesPresented by Cedars Melino Foundation, tonight, May 9, 2025, 6:30-9:30 pm at 38325 Cedar Blvd, Newark, in the Grove Room at Cedar’s Church – “Join us as we bring together faith leaders, advocates, and community members who care deeply about housing justice and the well-being of our neighbors.” Ask Rene for more info, but you’ll have to be quick as I’m sending this out a bit later than usual!
Mother’s Day Brunch after Church!
Come join our Mother’s Day Brunch in honor of moms and mom-types. Don’t worry if you haven’t signed up. Our Hospitality Team is on the case and there will be plenty to eat!
No Sunday School on Sunday.
There will be no Sunday School as we honor our mothers at the Mother’s Day Brunch. May 18th will be our last Sunday School for this year.
Prayers of the Church Update
We will be updating the names of the people on the prayer list printed in this insert. Please resubmit any names by filling out the prayer request cards provided in the pews.
Musical Theater Camp 2025
Musical Theater Camp – June 23 – 27, 10 am – 3 pm with performances on the 27th and 29th. The musical will be 100% Chance of Rain – a musical retelling of the Old Testament story of Noah’s Ark.
Synod Conference
Our conference meeting this year will be in person on May 17th in Walnut Creek at St. Matthews Church from 9 am to 3:30 pm. They are looking for folks to bring snacks! Go to spselca.org. for more info.
Tammy Kuhlmann’s Celebration of Life
A Celebration of Life event will be held on July 12 at 10 am with a reception to follow.
Thrivent Shirt Give-Away
Have you ever noticed how soft and comfy the Thrivent shirts are? Well, they are also plentiful! If yours is worn out, you need sleepshirts for your grandkids, or know some folks who could use them, there are three bins and a box full of them in the breezeway! Help yourself!
We would like to honor all of our graduates. If you or someone you know is graduating this year, please fill out one of the forms located on the media table in the narthex and put it in the Parish Life Coordinator’s box or email plc@holytrinityfremont.org by June 8th.
Oh, and if anyone knows about those buried bodies Keith referred to, I’m not sure I want to know! My office hours will be Tues-Weds-Fridays from 10 – 2 pm. Thank you all for this opportunity, and stop by my office and say hello!
