HTLC News Blast – June 6, 2025
Hello, Everyone!
This coming Sunday we celebrate Pentecost, the day those disciples were marked by the Holy Spirit with tongues of fire! It’s also Scrip Sunday, so check with Pam to see how you can buy gift cards and add to the funds of the church with no expense on your part! Very cool!
This particular Pentecost is also a special day for four young men in our congregation who will be sharing their faith statements and publicly announcing their commitment to God. That doesn’t happen every day, in fact, it doesn’t happen very often at all! It is a blessed day for us as a community, so please come prepared to cheer them on in their journey of faith! Oh, and stay for the snacks and sweets the families will be bringing as a thank you to the Congregation.
Sunday, the 15th, is a busy day at HTLC, too. The Choir and Bells are going all out to finish the year in a musical flourish, with five pieces between them, so be prepared to enjoy as they sing and ring (well, not both at the same time!). After church the Hospitality Team will be going full-on Mexican food for the Father’s Day Brunch, with carnitas, carne asada, beans, rice, salad, pico de gallo and more! Is your mouth watering? Bring your Dads and your Bonus Dads, and dive in! There’s a sign-up list for volunteers to help with set-up, tear down, and clean-up on the media table. As always they can use our help.
I, for one, love the Favorite Hymn Sundays in July and August. I understand that, if they have enough favorite Christmas Carols, we may even do a Christmas in July! So, fill out that blue card with all your favs and we’ll all sing in praise of God together with our favorites!
Three more events in June! 1) June is the month to celebrate our graduates and this June we have quite a few! We’ll celebrate them in worship on June 22nd, so, if you haven’t already please either email your graduates name, and accomplishment to plc@holytrinityfremont.org or fill out a green half-slip at church; 2) June is our Musical Theater Camp June 23 – 27, 29! Check the bulletin board by the door to the patio for things you can donate or loan. Plus, you can help with scholarships! And; 3) If you know anyone from Grade 6th thru 12th, give them a heads up and they can join in on Youth Group, starting June 29th, right after the Musical Theater Camp refreshments.
Lastly, Vicky will be setting up a bulletin board in the narthex showing where in the world our Holy Trinity Christians will be this summer! So, whether you go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium or to Greece, send the church a post card! Fun!
