HTLC News – July 25, 2025
Well, today is Friday, July 25th and this coming Sunday is the 7th Sunday of Pentecost and the day we focus on how to pray! We worship at 9:30 am. Youth Group follows at 10:45 am and our Tongan worship is at 1:00 pm. It is also Loose Change Sunday, so dig deep in the couch and purses for that extra little bit that can make a difference.
There are post cards coming in from all over! We’ve gotten one as far away as Scandinavia and as close as the Fremont Mission! And I’ll bet there are lots more that will come in! If you want to go to the store tonight or tomorrow, it’s not too late to Adopt an Angel! And if you give a cash donation Sunday (on Vanco, Scrip, check, or cash), Cheryl will shop for you. School starts soon. Happily, you’ll have another opportunity to help these angels at Christmastime.
We’ve got three great events that will be happening soon!
1. Rally Day on September 7th – Do you have a neighbor, grandchild, or a friend who has kids who could use a loving place to be inspired and change the world! Invite them to register for Sunday School on Rally Day! Just so you know, your Parish Life Coordinator’s life was changed forever when someone picked her and her siblings up and took them to church! It’s a thing! A God thing!
2. Ministry Faire, also on September 7th – Ever hankered to find a place to plug into church, or to try something new? This is your chance! On September 7th, various groups and committees will have information for you. Think about where your skills, passion, and joys meet the programs of our church, in worship, children’s ministry, adult education, choir, facilities upkeep, Audio/Visual, Youth, Council… I can go on, but you get the picture! And maybe you are called to make something new happen! Check out our Ministry Faire on the 7th!
3. God’s Work, Our Hands – If you are interested in helping to plan our God’s Work, Our Hands 2025 Event (date to be determined), there’s a meeting on August 10th at 11 am in the Activity Room. For those of you new to God’s Work, Our Hands, this is how it works: We will spend time as a church doing projects to help others in our church community and beyond. If you want to take part in planning, come to the meeting. If you have a suggestion for a good project, please email, call or shout out to your friendly Parish Life Coordinator, and she’ll make sure the group gets your suggestion. More info to come!
Soon you’ll be hearing about our Christmas pageant and what the Youth and Sunday School will be taking on this year! Before we know it, Bells and Choir will be ramping up for a new season. Holy Trinity is a happenin’ place! The Spirit is alive and well in this place!
