HTLC News Blast – Friday, February 27, 2026
Hello All! This coming Sunday is March 1, 2026, when we celebrate the 2nd Sunday of Lent, and Nacho Nametag Sunday with Worship, both in person and on Livestream at 9:30 am. Confirmation, Sunday School, and Youth Group meet this week, starting at 10:45 am. Bell Choir Rehearsal is at 11:00 am and Tongan Worship is at 1:00 pm.
Ways to Worship (besides Sunday Morning)
- Lenten Service this Wednesday at 6:30 pm – ½ hour service – Holden Evening Prayer. This week’s reading is, “The Second Light: Peace.” These reading were writing by our Kathleen Keating. The series is, “Four Bright Lights: The Advent Wreath in the Lenten Journey” What a unique look at Jesus’ story! Our other Midweek services are on March 11, 18 & 25.
- Tell Us Something Good Devotional Our friends at A Sanctified Art have provided a special e-reader version of this year’s Lenten devotional, which you can access on your computer and mobile devices: online.flippingbook.com/view/546389771/ In order to protect their work, please refrain from sharing this link or posting it on social media to anyone outside of Holy Trinity. The reader is cool, and there are paper copies by request (to Pr. Barb).
- Seder Meal (Yes, it’s worshipful!) If you haven’t been the Seder Meal here at Holy Trinity, consider coming this year. Save the date! Experience what Jesus experienced each year during Passover. It’s on Sunday, March 29th at 5:00 pm. Bryan MacFarlane is an excellent chef and this is an experience you won’t want to miss. The Hospitality Team does their usual magic and the service is meaningful and fun! And the food’s amazing!
Ways to Learn
- Adult Forum – Trellis Committee Next Sunday! We’ll meet at 10:45 in the Activity Room. The purpose is to dream together about HTLC projects (come with ideas!) and to introduce the formal proposal process of applying for funds. This forum will be led by the Trellis committee. If you can’t come this time, there will be another one (an expansion of this one?) on April 19th after church in the Activity Room.
- Musical Theater Camp in June We have three campers already signed up! Check it out! 2 weeks this year! June 15-19 and June 22-28. The link is also on our website!
Ways to Serve
- The Kids need to play! If you are interested in being part of a group looking at our playground equipment needs, please see Carmen or Pastor Tim.
- Hymnal Fundraiser Soon we’ll be seeking funds to purchase Hymnals for the pews. More info to come on how you can take part! That way, if we have a hymn sing, or you want to sing alto, or the office can’t get the bulletin out (horrors!), we are good to go!
Other ways to be part of the community
- Our 2026 Revised Constitution is done and some copies are on the usher desk. Check it out! If you’d like an electronic copy, let Pr. Barbara know.
- Oops! Try again! Pr. Barb tried a new thing, and there was a disruption with Pastor Tim’s email address from 2/23 to 2/27. So, if you didn’t hear back from him, please send your message again. So sorry!
