HTLC News Blast – March 20, 2026

Hello, Everyone!

This coming Sunday is March 22, 2026, the 5th Sunday in Lent. It is also Loose Change Sunday, so break open your piggy banks! Our last Midweek/Holden Evening Prayer Service will be at 6:30 on Wednesday. Spring Cleaning will be on Saturday, the 28th from 9 to 1 (pizza at noon). Then we launch into Holy Week March 29th and you can join in the crowds with Palm Sunday’s “The Cry of the Whole Congregation” at 9:30 am and the Seder Meal at 5:00.

Maundy Thursday will be at 6:30 pm at Christ the King and Good Friday will commence here at HTLC at 7 pm. Get your Easter Flowers here on Saturday, April 4th before 10 am and the next day we’ll have a glorious Easter worship, followed by Easter Breakfast and an Easter Egg Hunt! It’s a really great day to invite a friend, and remember, no one does food better than our Hospitality Team! What joy!

Sunday, March 29 – 5:00 pm – Seder Meal – Suggested Donation $25 – The Hospitality Team needs to to sign up, no walk-ins on this one – The list is in the Narthex -Masa Ball Soup, Vegetable broth, topped with cabbage, radishe, Salad, Arroz con Pollo, Chicken thighs, Rice and Braised Kale, Elote, Horchata Rice Pudding (Vegetarian Options Available)
Thursday, April 2 – 6:30 pm – Maundy Thursday at Christ the King Lutheran Church -1301 Mowry Avenue, Fremont
Friday – April 3 – 7:00 pm – Good Friday Worship here at HTLC
Saturday – April 4 – No later than 10 am – Easter Garden – bring your flowers – Please sign up in the narthex to dedicate them to the ones you love.
Sunday, April 5 – 9:30 am – Easter Worship
Sunday, April 5 – 10:30 am – Easter Breakfast
Sunday, April 5 – 11:15 am – Easter Egg Hunt

OTHER STUFF

Trellis Committee – If anyone has questions about the Seeds of Faith Fund, please talk to one of the Trellis Committee members, Ann, Carmen B., Cheryl, Dot, Jay, or Pastor Tim – There will be another Adult Forum April 19^th
The Kids need to play! If you are interested in being part of a group looking at our playground equipment needs, please see Carmen or Pastor Tim
Musical Theater Camp in June We already have four campers signed up this year! Check it out! 2 weeks this time! June 15-19 and June 22-28. We could use some volunteers for as little as much as an hour or two a week – or day – to help with snacks, morning check-in or out, tie dying shirts, crafts, lots of stuff, lots of fun! Have you read all of the good things? It’s a treat to read! Check out what your fellow HTLC friends have written on our new bulletin board, then add some good things yourself! You can pick the color of the message you want to send, write it out and tack it up with the others. If you’re worried about your spelling, don’t be. Please know that these can be anomonous…. anonymus…. anonimous…. well, you get the picture! It’s all good! We want to hear your good thing!
Got Flowers? Vicky could use some silk flowers for the bulletin board for Easter. Put them in the box in the narthex.
