HTLC News Blast – July 5, 2026
Hello Everyone! I’m ready to eat hot dogs, corn on the cob, tomatoes and all the fixin’s for July 4th and hope you all get to share in a feast as well, no matter the menu! Our text this week says, “Come to me, all you who labor and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
This is a time to be grateful that God is with us always, no matter what is going on in our world! We can rest in the arms of God!
This Sunday, July 5th, 2026, we will be celebrating the 6th Sunday after Pentecost. It’s also Nacho Name Tag Sunday, so come prepared to slather those tortilla chips. Worship with Live Stream begins at 9:30 am. At 10:45 am our youth will meet. Our Tongan congregation will be joining in as well.
Since it’s summertime, there’s not much, but here’s what’s happening!
- Thank you again! – Thank you again to the Hospitality Team for a very kid-friendly, and apparently family and congregation friendly meal! A great time was enjoyed by all who attended or was in the Musical Theater Camp production last week.
- What a joy to have an abundance! – The Trellis Committee is ready to help you make your vision for Holy Trinity a reality through a Seeds of Faith Grant!

- ELW Hymnal Fundraiser – We are excited to launch our ELW Hymnal Fundraiser—an opportunity to help provide hymnals for our pews and support the shared song, prayer, and worship life of our congregation. You are invited to give in honor or memory of a loved one, allowing each hymnal to carry not only music, but also stories of faith, love, and connection. Our goal is to purchase at least 44 hymnals at a cost of $35 each. Donation forms are available in the narthex/church office. We invite you to take part in this meaningful act of generosity as we continue to sing the story of God’s love together.
Ways to get involved!
- Everyone’s a Greeter – A warm smile, a friendly hello, and a “My name is ___, what’s yours?” can make an unfamiliar place more welcoming. They even make a familiar place more comfortable. They make us think about returning. There is a lot to the greeting we receive when we arrive somewhere, and church is no different. Here at Holy Trinity we want to give every person who comes onto our campus a warm and welcoming greeting. Whether you’ve signed up to be an official Greeter or not (see Carmen to sign up), it is up to all of us to make sure that visitors and friends know they are welcome.
- Are you a baker at heart? Talk to Randy and become one of the folks who makes fresh bread for worship on Sundays! There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex.
- Do you like to push buttons! Talk to Johnson, Rene, or Arnold in the AV booth and help to make worship better of all of us!
