Hello Everyone! I just got home from vacation today at 3:15 pm, so this Blast will be short and sweet.
This Sunday, August 9th, we will be celebrating Pentecost 11. It’s also Scrip Sunday so check in with Pamela and see if you’d like to place an order. Our Worship Service with Live Stream begins at 9:30 am, followed by Youth Group at 10:45. Church Council will not be meeting in August. Tongan Worship is at 1:00 pm.
What’s Happening:
- Rally Day – Rally Day will happen on Sunday September 13th, right after church! Please invite anyone who might enjoy Sunday School! And who wouldn’t?
- Tuesday morning Bible Study will resume on Tuesday, September 15th at 10:00 am with the book, “What Is the Bible?” by Rob Bell, a really fabulous writer! Pastor Tim is our equally fabulous facilitator!
- Are You a Baker? – There’s a very simple recipe to make the pita bread we use for worship. The recipe and the sign-up to provide bread for communion are both on the same clipboard on the Media table in the narthex (which is basically the lobby, only in church language!).
- Rick and Collette invite everyone to their Renewal of Vows which will be a small part of worship on August 16th. ALL are welcome to come to the reception to follow. Please RSVP so that the Koski’s have a potential food count!
- TIME TO CELEBRATE ART’S 90th BIRTHDAY – Sat, Oct 17 Holland Hall 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM Please join us to celebrate Art’s 90th birthday with food, family, friends and fun. No presents, please!!! Since we will be traveling during most of September and part of October, an RSVP by Sept 1 would be appreciated. RSVP by Oct 5 at the latest, please.
