Hi, Everybody:
This Sunday, April 21, 2024, is the 4th Sunday of Easter, Good Shepherd Sunday, Fill the Food Barrel Sunday, and New Member Sunday. Although, the new members should look awfully familiar to you (Did I say “awfully”? I meant “delightfully”!). There is a Hospitality Meeting at 11:15 am in the Activity Room where they will be discussing upcoming events like Mother’s Day brunch, Father’s Day brunch, and the Spaghetti Feed. (now I’m hungry). Worship Service, Sunday School, Confirmation, and Bell Choir times will be as usual.
Speaking of times, if you don’t know what’s usual, you can always check our online calendar for times! (http://holytrinityfremont.org/calendar/) You can even print out your very own copy by clicking “print” in the top right corner. Of course, as soon as you print it, I’ll probably change something, and your copy will already be out of date. For the most up-to-date information, always check online. If there’s an event you’d like to hold at the church, please contact Vice President Mike Billmann, who is also our intrepid Facility Use person, and he can let you know the process to get it on the calendar. Building usage is up (which is a good thing) and we’re trying to establish a better system for scheduling.
Speaking of scheduling, did you know that we will be having four congregations using our sanctuary on Sundays? (if you count HTLC and HRLC separately) We have been having Casa de Adoracion worshiping on Sunday evenings for about a month now, and the Tongan Wesleyan Church will be worshiping on Sunday afternoons starting on May 12 (they will also be using the sanctuary on Tuesday evenings and Holland Hall on Friday evenings). So, don’t panic when you drive by the church those nights and see the lights on. (but would you mind checking the doors of the unused buildings while you’re there to make sure they’re shut and locked? Thanks, I knew I could count on you!)
Speaking of the Tongan Wesleyan Church, they will be celebrating their tradition of White Sunday with us during our 10 am worship service on May 5. We will be lifting up the children of our congregations (not literally – some of them are getting pretty big) and celebrating their talent and enthusiasm. We are honored that the TWC are sharing this special occasion with us!
Speaking of special occasions, here are the dates of the special occasions already spoken of in the first paragraph:
Mother’s Day Brunch – May 12
Father’s Day Brunch – June 16
Spaghetti Feed: June 22
Okay, I’m through speaking of stuff (for now).
