Hi, Everybody. This email news blast may be late, but it’s long-lasting! (and minty fresh!)
This Sunday, July 23, 2023, is the 8th Sunday after Pentecost and Lutheran Loose Change Sunday. We thank Pastor John Bost for preaching and presiding this Sunday at the 10 AM Worship Service. Don’t be alarmed when you see the year 2022 on the bulletins this Sunday. It is merely a misprint, not a time warp. This is what happens when I try to get five weeks’ worth of bulletins done in one week!
Yes, I’m still here. Richard and I are going on vacation, but things seem to be conspiring to keep us from leaving (the latest is a leaking tire on our car!). We are hoping to leave soon. That means this may be the last news email you see for a while. It also means that the church custodial crew (Richard and I) will be gone. Please pitch in to help keep things clean around the church. If you see something that needs to be done… “Tag! You’re it!” It also means Office Hours will be sporadic to none. Please call before coming to make sure someone is there to help. I will still try to get the worship link emails out, but failing that, you can go to our YouTube channel where the scheduled upcoming services will be available along with a link to the bulletin in their descriptions. You can also go to our website blog where the latest services should be available.
Pastor Barbara has agreed to be contacted in case of pastoral emergencies while Pastor Tim is gone. Please do not contact her unless it is necessary – remember, she’s retired!
Carmen Blair will be doing the Community Announcements during worship services for the next several weeks, so if you have something you want announced, please contact her.
Holy Redeemer folks: don’t forget the Special HRLC Congregational Meeting on Sunday, August 20, 2023. HRLC voting members are strongly encouraged to attend. In the next several weeks, voting members will be notified of the time & location for this meeting.
The bulletin insert for this Sunday will have to last until August 20, so keep it for reference. I’ll print out some extras and put them on the Media Table for those who can’t make it this week.
Oh, and if you want donuts on Sundays… “Tag! You’re it!”
