Hi, Everybody:
So much is happening this weekend, I can’t even start off with my usual “This Sunday…”!
Tonight (Friday, June 23) at 6:30 p.m. will be the first performance of the Musical Theater Camp’s production of “Oh, Jonah!” in the HTLC sanctuary. The kids and adults have been working hard all week to bring this musical romp to life (and lively it is!). Don’t miss it! (but if you do, there also will be a performance during the worship service on Sunday)
Tomorrow (Saturday) is the annual fundraising Spaghetti Feed! Set-up and decorating begin at 10 a.m. for all who are so inclined. The doors open at 4 p.m., with dinner starting soon afterwards. There’ll be all-you-can-eat pasta dishes (with vegan and gluten-free options available), salad, garlic bread, tiramisu, iced tea, lemonade and more! Beer and wine are also available for an extra donation. There’ll be a kid’s zone, silent auction, raffle prizes, and other opportunities for fun. It’s $20 for adults, $12 for kids ages 3 to 11, and $50 for a family of four. Things will wrap up around 7:30 pm (any extra help cleaning up will be appreciated). It’s always a blast!
This Sunday (finally!), June 25, is the 4th Sunday after Pentecost and Lutheran Loose Change Sunday. The 10 a.m. worship service, which also will be livestreamed, will include the aforementioned second performance of “Oh, Jonah!” as the message for the day.
Things are hoppin’ around here, so I’m gonna leave it at that. See you tonight, tomorrow, or Sunday (or possibly all three!).
