HTLC/HRLC News Email, June 28, 2024

Hi, Everybody:

HTLC Musical Theater Camp’s premier of “Esther” by Erik Whitehill will be TODAY, Friday, June 28th, at 6:30 pm.  We’ve got 17 really great actors and singers.  Come and join the fun!  Will Esther risk her life to save her people?  Will Mordecai be riding a real horse? (the cleaning crew hopes not)  And what will become of the evil vizier Haman? (spoiler alert:  you can’t spell “hangman” without “Haman”)  The second performance will be on Sunday, June 30th, during the10 am worship service.  Come to both performances – you’re in for a real treat!  (though it’s probably not as good as the book.  You know, The Good Book)

Favorite Hymn Requests are due next Sunday, July 7, at 11 am.  Christmas songs (if you must), camp songs, old favorites, or something new!  Please submit 2 of your favorite church songs by completing the Favorite Hymn form.  Please note if there are particular verses you like (we usually sing 2 or 3).  We don’t take anonymous requests, so make sure to fill in your name so we know who to blame.  You can also email your request to carmenjblair@gmail.com. Requests must be submitted by Sunday, July 7, at 11 am.

Do you sing or play an instrument?  We’re looking for people who are willing to share their musical talents during the church service.  It would be especially nice to have some extra music during summer when choir and handbells are not performing.  Please contact Dot Westerhoff and we’ll shoehorn you into a service (that is, if you play the shoehorn).
