Tomorrow, Saturday, March 16 at 1 pm is the Ordination of Kelly Miller-Sanchez at Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church (35660 Cedar Blvd, Newark). Come help celebrate this joyous occasion! There will be a reception following the ordination rite.

HTLC A’s Game Day
Kathy Miedema is organizing an HTLC A’s Game Day at the ballpark, likely May 25 against the Astros, and she needs to know asap who might like to go. Please contact her at skoop32@yahoo.com by Friday, March 22 so she can include you in the group price. We are aiming for around $30 or less per ticket, but won’t know the exact cost for a bit.
Sign Up for the Seder Meal
On Palm Sunday, March 24, we will be having a Seder Meal. It will be at 5 pm, and there is a sign-up sheet at the Media Table in the narthex if you’d like to attend. It’s a celebration of Passover with traditional food, wine, and ceremony, but with a Christian slant. This year, the suggested donation is $25 per person, including wine. Lots of food, festivity, and fellowship!
Church Work Day
Next Saturday starting at 9 am is our annual Church Work Day to spruce up the campus before Easter. Bring your work clothes and a can-do attitude!
Easter Garden
On Easter Sunday, an Easter Garden of colored flowers will decorate the church. You can sign up to bring your favorite plant or blooming flowers any color or type – the more riotous, the better! The plans or flowers can be given in memory of or in honor of someone special to you and your family. The names will appear in the bulletin on Easter Sunday. Purchase your own plants and bring them to the Activity Room between Wednesday, March 27 and Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. Please print legibly and circle “In Memory” or “In Honor.”
Musical Theater Camp
Our Musical Theater Camp is coming June 3 -10 and June 10 – 14 from 9 am – 4 pm for kids K – 8. Our Kathleen Keating is directing “Esther”, an amazing musical adaptation of the Bible story. We are in need of volunteers who can help in various ways, at various times, to serve snacks, help with registration and check out, supervise art, etc. If you’ve got some time to spend with lively talented kids, this is the project for you! Midweek Lenten Service
The last of our Midweek Lenten Services is this Wednesday, March 20 at 6:30 pm. These half-hour meditative services feature Taizé music and short meditations written by Kathleen Keating.
Holy Week Services
Palm Sunday service is next Sunday, March 24, at 10 am here at Holy Trinity.
Maundy Thursday service will be at Christ the King on March 28 at 6:30 pm.
Good Friday service will be here at Holy Trinity on March 29 at 7 pm.
Easter Sunday service is at 10 am with an Easter Breakfast following in Holland Hall.
