HTLC News Blast – January 30, 2026
Hello All!This Sunday, February 1st is the 4th Sunday after the Epiphany and also (drumroll please!) Nacho Nametag Sunday! Starting at 10:45 am the Sunday School and Youth will be packing Zach’s Winter Relief Bags. Thank you to all of you who brought stuff! Bell Choir is at 11 am, HTLC Council meets at noon, and Tongan Worship is at 1 pm.
HTLC folks, there’s a lot going on in February!
- Pick up your Giving Statements for 2025 – They are on the Usher Table
- This week you’ll receive a copy of the 2026 Budget. We’ll be voting on it later in the month.
- Souper Bowl of Caring – February 8! As Terri said, “It’s Super Bowl, Baby!” Holy Trinity is taking part in the Souper Bowl of Caring on Super Bowl Sunday. We will be collecting non-perishable food items, and people will be at the doors holding soup pots to gather monetary donations. After worship service, join us for a Soup Potluck in Holland Hall. Wear your favorite sports team jersey! I’m bringing Love Soup!
- 2025 Annual Reports are due to Pastor Barbara by Sunday, Feb 15, only one week prior to the Annual Meeting.
- Ash Wednesday – February 18th at 7 pm.
- Our Annual Business Meeting will be on Sunday, February 22nd after worship, about 10:45 am-ish. Hospitality will provide snacks!
- 1st Midweek Lenten Service – February 25th at 6:30 pm.

- Playground Exploration – If you are interested in being part of a group looking at our playground equipment needs, please see Carmen or Pastor.
- Hymnal Fundraiser – Soon we’ll be seeking funds to purchase Hymnals for the pews. More info to come on how you can take part! That way, if we have a hymn sing, or you want to sing alto, or the office can’t get the bulletin out, we are good to go!
- HTLC Spring Cleaning – March 28 As is the custom for HTLC, the annual Spring Cleaning will happen on Saturday, March 28th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (the Sunday before Palm Sunday). We will have pizza available around noon. There is a signup sheet in the Narthex so we can get a count of how many folks will show up. We are targeting the following tasks; decorating the sanctuary with palms, clean windows and sills (inside and out), pull weeds from the areas with junipers, for the junipers by the parking lot entrance laydown about 6″ of wood chips after the weeds have been pulled to help keep the weeds down, laydown wood chips in the native plant garden, trim shrubs as needed and blow the sidewalks, parking lot and patios at the end of the event.
