HTLC News Blast – November 14, 2025
Hello, Everyone! I kid you not, God, in the Isaiah reading this week promises that we’ll be considered youths at 100 years old! And Jesus – well…. let’s just say that the Good News of the Gospel is a bit grim this week….but it ends with our souls being saved, so it’s a balance!
This Sunday, November 16th, is the 23rd Sunday after Pentecost. It’s also Fill the Food Barrel Sunday, so check your shopping list! We’ll begin the day with Youth Bell Choir at 9:15 am, then Worship and Live-Streaming at 9:30 am. After church at 10:45 am Youth Group and Sunday School will meet in Holland Hall, and at 1:00 pm Tongan Worship will begin.
Can’t wait for the Thanksgiving Potluck on Sunday, November 23rd with both smoked and roasted turkey! Please sign up in the narthex to let everyone know what you’d like to bring and how many friends and family!
We are gearing up for Christmas! Siri tells me it’s 41 days away. Yikes! We have pageant rehearsals (see below), an Angel Tree that needs to be emptied of gift tags to be returned by the 23rd (see the insert and the Link email), an opportunity to make an Advent Wreath at Christ the King on the 30th, and an awesome 18-24-somethings Christmas party on December 18th (See Wesley, Kellie & Joe Smith for that. Oh! Your Reverse Advent gifts will go to Zach’s Winter Relief this year, so there will be more next week on that!
NOTE –Tuesday Morning Bible Study will not meet November 25th.
