HTLC News Blast – November 28, 2025

Hello Everyone!

Advent! It’s time to look both back and forward to Christ’s birth and life among us!

This Sunday, November 30th, is Stewardship Sunday, so check out the blurb I’ve attached! It’s also in the insert so you can bring it home Sunday and read it more carefully. We’ll begin the day with Youth Bell Choir at 9:15 am, Worship and Live-Streaming begin at 9:30 am. Adult Bell Choir will rehearse at 11 am. Because of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Sunday School, Youth Group will not meet.  At 1:00 pm Tongan Worship will begin.

There are lots of Advent happenings!

  • It’s the last day to donate cash or a check for our Angel Tree foster kids. If you have any questions, see Cheryl Kuhlmann or call her at 510-502-0890.
  • Reverse Advent is where you bring items for Zach’s Winter Relief (formerly Marielle’s Winter Relief), one for each day! See the flyer for more information.
  • Audio/Visual Training on November 30th and December 14th after the services at the sound booth. The Sound training will be in January!
  • The Pageant! “Looking for Christ in All the Wrong Places” will be on December 14th during Worship! The schedule is below.
  • Christmas party for 18-24 somethings on December 18th.  You can see Kellie Barron Smith to find out more info!
  • Advent is the time to sign up to bring Poinsettias in honor of loved ones – and Jesus! – to decorate the church on Christmas Eve. The sign-up sheet is in the narthex.
