HTLC News Blast – October 24, 2025 – Reformation Day
Hello, Everyone!
This Sunday, October 26th is Reformation Sunday so WEAR RED if you can to celebrate faith as a gift! It’s also Loose Change Sunday, so check your pockets! We’ll begin the day with Worship and Live-Streaming at 9:30 am. Sunday School and Youth Group gather at 9:45. There will be Adult Bell Choir Practice at 11 am, followed by Tongan worship at 1 p.m. Youth Choir will not meet this Sunday. Also – Tuesday Morning Bible study is cancelled this week due to the Celebration of Life Service.
Kathleen Keating has written an original play for Reformation Sunday called “The Reformation Begins Within” with a cast of thousands…. well, make that 7, but they are all great actors!
Leon Klovdahl’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th, at 11 am here at Holy Trinity. Tuesday Morning Bible Study will be back the following week, on November 4th.
On Halloween, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm, we’ll treat our kids and our neighborhood kids by loading them up with sweets at our annual Trunk or Treat event! Our hospitality team will provide nachos, hot dogs, popcorn, hot chocolate, and water (free will offering for the food, not the sweets!). What a great time to come together! Sign up at the media table if you can provide some candy and a trunk to give it from! Or just come and bring some young friends!
Christmas Pageant Rehearsals begin this Saturday, Nov. 1st at 10:00 am. It’s another original play by our talented Kathleen Keating. “Looking for Christ in All the Wrong Places.” If you know any young people who’d like to be in it, please have them text the office at plc@holytrinityfremont.org The performance will be on December 14th during worship.
November 2nd is All Saints Sunday, when we remember those who have especially touched our lives but are no longer with us. Please add a name on the clipboard at the Media Table by October 27 to have your saints listed in the bulletin and presentation. If you would like a photo of your saint shown during the service, please email a picture to Carmen Blair – carmenjblair@gmail.com Let her know if you wish to use a picture you previously provided. Remember that these names and photos will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel, so please make sure it’s okay with the person’s family or others in the photos before submitting them.
Special Congregation Meeting on November 9th – Our Adult Forum update on Alameda County Water District and the possibility of 2 wells on Holy Trinity property has been turned in to a Special Congregational Meeting to discuss the ACWD, and to vote on a couple of recommendations by the Trellis team. More to follow! The meeting will commence at 10:45 in Holland Hall, right after worship.
Did you know we have 188 subscribers on our HTLC YouTube Channel http://www.youtube.com/@holytrinity8998? Last month our YouTube channel added 4 new subscribers, and gained 447 views for a total of 3,483 minutes watched.
On a personal note, I’m taking some time off and needed to finish things early. I apologize if any names were left out!
