HTLC News Email, Feb 7, 2025

Hi, Everybody:

This Sunday, February 9, is the 5th Sunday after Epiphany, Scrip Sunday, and Souper Bowl of Caring, which is an annual national food and money drive for local food pantries.  Bring some non-perishable food items (or non-perishable money), and people will be at the doors holding soup pots to gather donations.  After worship service, join us for a Soup Potluck in Holland Hall.  For dessert, the youth will be having a Bake Sale with proceeds also going to food for the homeless.  You are encouraged to wear sports clothing from your favorite team (go Albuquerque Isotopes!).

A Message from Rene Bierbaum:  “Neal and Rene’s families wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to the entire Holy Trinity community for the deeply meaningful Celebration of Life service and reception for Neal last Saturday.  We all felt held in the love and caring of Holy Trinity on this difficult day.  We were also thankful how Holy Trinity welcomed EVERYONE to the celebration.  Neal loved being a part of the Holy Trinity family — thank you all for helping us honor his spirit.”

Next Sunday, February 16, we will be welcoming members (quite a few!) of the new, newish, voting, and associate types.  Talk to Pastor Tim if you want to join, too.  It’s becoming all the rage!  Also next Sunday, Dean will be presenting  the next installment of the Adult Forum series “Test of Faith.”

Don’t forget – the following Sunday, February 23, is our Annual Meeting in Holland Hall directly after the worship service.  Members please come, sign in (so we know there’s a quorum), grab something to eat, and get ready to make some decisions about the future of HTLC!  (plus there’s always that restful silence as we ask for volunteers for the Nominating Committee).
