This Sunday, June 7, is Holy Trinity Sunday when we try to ponder the mystery of the three-in-oneness of God (and promptly get a headache). The good news is that the Bishop’s staff is preparing a worship service for this Sunday with a sermon by Presiding Bishop Eaton (well, it’s good news to me and the rest of us who would normally be producing an online worship this week). The bad news is I still haven’t received notice of how we are to access this fabled service (I’m beginning to think the Bishop and staff are human like the rest of us!). Hopefully that info will be coming soon…
“But wait,” I hear you say, “how will I get my weekly fix of seeing Holy Trinity people?” If you have been missing seeing each other between services, now is your chance to take our Sunday Fellowship digital! All are invited to the inaugural HTLC Virtual Coffee Hour this Sunday at 10 am! Bring your own coffee and a snack (I suggest the holy trinity of Nacho Sunday – chips, cheese and chili!) and join us on Zoom (or by phone) for new-fashioned fellowship. Marta Wicke will be hosting and facilitating the conversation (so everyone can get a chance to say “Hi”). Watching the Bishop’s service first is not required (unless you want to be catty about how much better our own services are!). You do not have to use video, although we would love to see your face! You needn’t be afraid of reading them – I’m sure all the accidentally-talking-over-each-other and awkwardly-silent-delays endemic to Zoom meetings have been removed.
