Hi, Everybody:
This Sunday, March 16, is the 2nd Sunday in Lent and Fill the Food Barrel Sunday. The Schedule is as usual – no extra meetings, and Adult Forum is not meeting for now.
The Celebration of Life for Tom Stevenin will be here at Holy Trinity on April 6 at 1 pm. This will be followed by a reception that will include food trucks. If you would like, please wear Tom’s favorite fashion statement – a beer logo (or similar) work shirt/bowling shirt. For those who would like to make a donation in Tom’s memory, please consider Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
We continue to hold our Midweek Lenten Services. They are brief, half-hour services on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. Each service includes a short, thought-provoking skit from Kathleen Keating’s Martin’s (& Katie’s) Table, a reimagining of Luther’s famous “Table Talks.” This Wednesday’s installment is called “Not a Conqueror, but a Companion.”
Devotionals, devotionals, devotionals! The Lenten devotional booklet entitled Unbroken: A Living Faith is available at https://holytrinityfremont.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Unbroken_Devotional_-_Lent_2025.pdf. A few printed copies are also available on the Media Table. It contains daily readings and weekly video QR codes to scan with your phone. Also, the April–June issues of the devotionals The Word in Season and Christ in Our Home are available at the Media Table for the taking. Now you can be three times as devoted!
