Hi, Everybody:
This Sunday, March 30, is the 4th Sunday in Lent. Worship is at 9:30 am, Sunday School & Confirmation at 10:45, and Bell Choir at 11:30.
The family of Tom Stevenin is asking for people to submit quotes by Tom that they remember. Please email them to Randy Kuhlmann at renkuhlmann@gmail.com. The Celebration of Life for Tom Stevenin will be next Sunday, April 6, at 1 pm here at Holy Trinity. This will be followed by a reception that will include food trucks. It would be appreciated if some of you would bring hand-held desserts to share (cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc.). If you would like, please wear Tom’s favorite fashion statement – a beer logo (or similar) work shirt/bowling shirt.
Only two weeks until Spring Cleaning! On Saturday, April 12, 9 am to noon, it’s our annual get-the-church-ready-for-Holy-Week day. Palm fronds will be put up in the sanctuary and cleaning and beautifying will be going on inside and out at Holy Trinity so we can look our best at Easter (you know, for all the visitors who attend only at Christmas and Easter). Bring your favorite gloves/cleaning supplies/buckets etc. The more people who show up, the faster, easier, and enjoyabler the work gets done! (Plus, you can get a sneak preview of the choir’s Palm Sunday musical performance as they practice at 10 am!)
Help beautify the sanctuary on Easter Sunday (April 20) by contributing to our Easter Garden! Sign up at the Media Table to bring your favorite plant or blooming flowers – any color or type. They can be given in memory of or in honor of someone special to you and your family. Be sure to circle “In Memory of” or “In Honor of” on the sign-up sheets (“Memory” for dead folks, “Honor” for live folks and intangibles like love, music, friendship, etc.). Your dedication will appear in the bulletin on Easter Sunday. Please print legibly to avoid misspellings. Bring the plants to the Activity Room by 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19.
We continue to hold our half-hour Midweek Lenten Services on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm throughout Lent. Each service includes a short, thought-provoking skit written by Kathleen Keating. This Wednesday’s installment is called “The Only Consolation” and is not as light-hearted as the other episodes, as it deals with grief and death in the Luther family.
It’s never too early to start thinking about the annual Spaghetti Feed fundraiser. It’s scheduled for Saturday, June 7th. Be on the lookout for more information about this event and planning meetings in the near future.
It’s also not too early to register for this year’s Musical Theater Camp on June 23 – 27, 10 am – 3 pm with performances on Friday, June 27, at 6:30 pm and Sunday, June 29, at 10 am. Click here to find out more!
