Devotions from Tri-City ELCA Churches – Pastor Barbara Caine of Holy Redeemer, Feb. 16, 2022

Devotion for February16, 2022 from Pastor Barbara Caine of Holy Redeemer:

We know that God makes everything work together for the good of those who love God and have been called according to God’s purpose. Romans 8:28[1]

Have you seen the bracelets yet?  Have you gotten yours? If you have, has it reminded you to continue to pray for God’s continued action through the ACTS for Vitality Program?  I hope so!  It sure helps me!  If you are not attending worship in person yet, be sure to let me, Pastor Barbara, know how one of us can get one to you!  (holyredeemer@hrlc-newarki.org)

The bracelets are highlighting our new theme![2]  “Work Together for Good.”  In Romans 8:28 we are reminded of how God calls us and helps us to work together to accomplish God’s purpose!  In order to do this, each church is working on our core values and will be sharing them with each other at our March 6th meeting.  Please pray for the team as we listen to God, to you, and to each other.

As you pray, pay close attention to what visions come to you.  I saw your breakout question, Christ the King Church, “In your wildest dreams what would CTK be to the community in 5 years?”  What a great question for us at Holy Trinity and Holy Redeemer to prayerfully consider as well.  As you pray for the ACTS for Vitality Team efforts, let God make everything work together, our churches, our communities, our hopes, our dreams, for the good of all!

In Christ,
Pastor Barbara
