HTLC News Blast – Friday, May 1, 2026
Hello Everyone!
We are already at the 5th Sunday of Easter with our regular service at 9:30 am we’ll be celebrating White Sunday – the first Sunday in May – with our Tongan folks at noon!
This Sunday, May 3rd, we will be celebrating that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life! It’s also Nacho Name Tag Sunday. White Sunday Practice and Youth Group will be meeting, starting at 10:45. Our Tongan Congregation has invited all of us at NOON as both HTLC & Tongan Wesleyan children together will lead White Sunday Worship. They’ve been preparing for a month! They’ll share what they have learned this year and how their faith has grown! Bell Choir will not practice on Sunday.
Please know that all are invited to come to Holland Hall for a reception following White Sunday Worship.
What’s Happening:
- Mother’s Day Brunch May 10th! – Sunday, May 10th , following the worship service, we will be having a Mother’s Day Brunch in honor of moms and mom-types. Please sign up at the Media Table so that Hospitality can get an approximate head count for food planning.
- Sunday School – The last day of Sunday School for the 25-26 season will be on May 17th. What a great year it has been! We resume on September 13th for Rally Day.
- Spring Concert May 30 here at HTLC! – Come to a joyful Saturday Spring Concert at 2:00 pm by The East Bay Symphonic Band Fireflutes! – A free Concert – and cookies to follow! Kathleen plays, of course, and Michael accompanies! Don’t miss it!
- Graduates! We would like to honor all of our graduates. If you or someone you know is graduating this year, please fill out one of the forms located on the media table in the narthex and put it in the Parish Life Coordinator’s box or email plc@holytrinityfremont.org by June 7th. This includes all of those graduating from Middle School, High School, College, University, Advanced Degree, and Certificate Programs. We do not want to leave anyone out!
- You Like to Pitch in, Right? – If you’d like to be a reader, lay assistant, communion helper, on altar guild, or help in worship some other way! Talk to Carmen and/or come to the Assistant Training on June 7th at 10:45 am in the sanctuary.
- Don’t You Just Love Sweet Treats?Please sign up to bring donuts, or the sweet treat of your choice. The list is on the table in the narthex.
- Let everybody know about us! – Put our website on your Social Media! A post every week works! There are 19 different sections of Next Door in Fremont, for instance. Just post: “My church is having a Musical Theater Camp in June! For more information go to: holytrinityfremont.org!” or “Come to a free Flute Concert at our Church on May 30th at 2 pm!” or “We’ve got a fabulous preacher! Come to church with us!” You get the idea!
- It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! – It’s time to pick your favorite hymns! We will fill June and July with all of your favorite hymns! If we have enough hymns we can have Christmas in July, or Camp Sunday, and always Praise Band Sunday, it’s so much fun! Fill out the blue card in your bulletin and put it in Carmen’s cubby or give it to one of the ushers and they’ll do it for you! So fun!
- Hymn of the Month – Who doesn’t love the music at HTLC? Well, we’re going to be adding to our repertoire! In a given month we’ll sing a song several times to make sure all of us know it next time it comes up during worship.
