Hi, Everybody:
This Sunday, August 2nd, is the 9th Sunday after Pentecost. It’s also Nacho Name Tag Sunday, in case you needed a reason to eat even more snack foods (I’m working on the assumption that scientists will announce that eating chips prevents COVID-19). Pastor Tim is on vacation this week, so Pastor Barbara of Holy Redeemer in Newark will be providing the Children’s Time and Sermon for our online worship. Thanks, PB! We will not be having Zoom Communion this week, but we will continue to have Zoom Coffee Chat at 10 am.
Our Christmas-in-July Food Drive was a success! Because of you, the League of Volunteers in Newark (LOV Newark) will be receiving $350 in food items, and $100 in cash. Thank you to all who donated.
Just a reminder: coming up on August 29 is our Virtual Spaghetti Feed. Tickets will be $15, food pick-up will be from 4:30 pm to 6 pm at Holy Trinity (delivery available upon request), and online content with auction/raffle will be between 5 pm and 7 pm. Forthcoming details about how to purchase tickets and how the online stuff will work have yet to come forth, but I know people are feverishly working on it! (maybe a poor choice of words these days)
